West Fourth Agency was the chosen firm to support the November 2023 opening of The Westin Washington, DC Downtown with business, leisure, and trade press coverage, plus a national press trip.  A first of its kind to open in DC, the 807 room property offers a holistic wellness approach translating through every touchpoint  – including the city’s largest hotel fitness studio (10,000 square feet), biophilic and nature-inspired design, and new open-kitchen restaurant concept (Root + Vine) featuring locally-sourced menus crafted for mindful consumption, including vegetable-forward dishes, ethically-sourced proteins, and the finest regional and sustainable seafood. The hotel also offers over 70,000 square feet of meeting space, a 19,000 sq. ft. grand ballroom, and 24 breakout rooms. West Fourth PR planned and executed a successful media campaign for impactful press coverage in addition to strategizing and hosting a media familiarization trip in partnership with Destination DC, Hirshhorn Museum, Centrolina, and more, to create an itinerary for journalists from Forbes, Eater DC, Men’s Health, Pop Sugar and Design Milk, who experienced the hotel and Washington, DC for feature stories.
